Job Summary

The Operational Excellence Consultant will play a critical role in identifying assessing and prioritizing automation and AI opportunities across business processes. This position bridges the gap between business needs and technology solutions ensuring that automation and AI initiatives deliver measurable value and align with organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities:

Process Discovery

  • Conduct end-to-end process mapping and documentation using tools such as BPMN or process mining software.
  • Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks redundancies and opportunities for automation.
  • Engage stakeholders to validate current-state processes and gather insights.

Process Improvement and Redesign

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes.
  • Design future-state processes aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Facilitate workshops to co-create solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure redesigned processes comply with regulatory and quality standards.

Opportunity Identification & Assessment

  • Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas suitable for automation or AI integration.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed automation and AI solutions.
  • Develop opportunity assessment frameworks to evaluate ROI complexity and impact.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications for automation and AI solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including process maps user stories and acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between business units IT teams and solution providers.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to align on priorities and solution design.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze operational data to support opportunity identification and performance measurement.
  • Provide insights on trends and patterns that can inform automation and AI strategies.

Solution Evaluation & Implementation Support

  • Assist in vendor evaluation and technology selection for automation and AI tools.
  • Support project teams during implementation testing and deployment phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in business analysis preferably in automation or AI projects.
  • Strong understanding of Power Platforms RPA (Robotic Process Automation) AI/ML concepts and digital transformation.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools and data analysis (e.g. Power BI Excel).
  • Excellent communication problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation solutions (e.g. Power Platform UiPath Automation Anywhere Blue Prism).
  • Familiarity with AI technologies such as NLP predictive analytics and machine learning.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management practices.
