Job Duties

Directs the work and staff on assigned shifts coordinates work schedules and duty rosters and performs inspections to maintain safety security and sanitation of the facility.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to use/carry/possess firearms and other security devices (No felony or domestic violence convictions). Progressive experience in the supervision of staff and offenders. Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend workplace policies and procedures and to prepare workplace reports and documentation. Considerable knowledge of VADOC policies/procedures. Demonstrated ability to plan schedule organize work for others and to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems effectively. Prefer working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook programs

Additional Considerations

LEAD Graduate or equivalent applicable experience or training. Working experience with Evidence Based Practices. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook programs.
