Job Description

50% - assist with developing and executing our overall social media strategy including managing our social media platforms and creating video content
20% - assist with the creation of newsletter/print materials
20% - gathering social media analytics
10% - attending relevant campus events to capture live content

  1. Coursework of work experience that illustrates strong attention to detail and ability to mange deadlines independently
  2. Writing and communication skills

  2. Basic understanding of social media analytics and data collection
  3. A team player with self-initiative strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  4. Experience managing social media content for other brands or organizations
  5. Understanding of brand identity and voice
  6. Experience with visual content creation such as photography videography or basic graphic design


Position Overview
Work with CEAEs Outreach & Communication Coordinator to develop our social media strategy. Create and publish content across multiple social media channels. Participate in social listening and contribute in CEAE community conversations. Source user-generated content review social analytics and contribute ideas towards strategic and creative initiatives. Explore and research emerging social trends for use in a higher education space.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or be enrolled in summer session or be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)

Employment Conditions
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.

(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
