You will work in a dynamic innovative environment where safety and sustainability are top priorities.
You will be the key expert translating HSE legislation and industry standards into practical site-specific procedures and controls.
You will lead the execution of risk assessments (RI&E) compliance audits and incident investigations ensuring continuous improvement in HSE performance.
You will have the autonomy to advise and coach all organizational levels from operational teams to senior management on HSE strategy and implementation.
Make a difference as HSE Specialist
As our HSE Specialist you will be the go-to expert for all health safety and environmental matters at our Dutch operations. Youll ensure compliance drive awareness and help us continuously improve our HSE performance. Your key responsibilities include:
Executing and coordinating risk assessments (RI&E) and translating them into actionable HSE plans.
Investigating incidents and near misses and ensuring follow-up improvements are implemented.
Monitoring compliance with legislation permits and internal policies through audits and inspections.
Advising management and staff on HSE performance and developments.
Organizing HSE training and awareness campaigns across the organization.
Translating new laws and regulations into practical applications for Enza Zaden.
Coordinating emergency response and crisis management procedures.
You will report to the HSE Manager and work closely with local management safety coaches and external experts. Your workplace is based in the Netherlands with occasional national travel.
What you bring as a future colleague
A bachelors degree (HBO) a minimum of 3 years of relevant HSE experience preferably in an industrial environment.
Preferably a High Safety Specialist (HVK) certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and Health & Safety Management Systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in both Dutch and English written and spoken.
A proactive persuasive attitude and the ability to coach and motivate others.
Respond to incidents outside regular hours.
