As Senior Program Manager you will be based in Amsterdam office and report to the Executive Director. You will be responsible for leading strategic multidisciplinary projects with both technical and organizational impact. These initiatives affect processes systems organisation culture and ways of working across multiple areas of the organization. Examples include the implementation of a commercial workflow/CRM system in the client and matter acceptance process or the rollout of dashboards for core business processes.
As a trusted advisor to the Executive Director you will define project scopes develop detailed implementation plans manage budgets and timelines and ensure measurable outcomes whiletaking into account the systemic and behavioural aspects of change. To deliver integrated high-impact results you will work in close alignment with both business and support functions. At the same time you understand that successful transformation depends not only on structure and results but also on people. You connect teams foster collaboration and shared ownership and are mindful of the behavioral dynamics of change. You combine decisiveness with empathy helping to shape a positive inclusive work culture and ensuring that change is both effective and sustainable.
In addition to leading projects the Senior Program Manager holds final responsibility for the Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO coordinates and supports project execution develops standards and facilitates knowledge sharing. You will directly manage two project managers and maintain functional lines with project leads and smes across other departments.
This role reports to the Executive Director and involves close collaboration with Business Functions such as IT Finance & Control HR Communications and Commercial & Legal Excellence as well as with external vendors.
Leading end-to-end execution of (complex) strategic projects and organisation transformation;
Defining project scope implementation plans and success criteria; managing timelines identifying stakeholders and degrees of impact budgets communication plans and deliverables (also as part of annual planning cycles);
Actively contributing to and coordinating project execution (hands-on leadership);
Managing multidisciplinary project teams including internal experts and external vendors;
Coaching engaging and supporting project team members and colleagues in project management engagement and trust within teams to increase adoption and ownership of change;
Increasing adoption of new solutions through stakeholder engagement communication and training;
Acting as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders;
Leading the PMO ensuring governance methodology and knowledge sharing;
Building a centralized knowledge base of project management standards and workflows;
Monitoring project performance impact and ROI; reporting to senior stakeholders;
Developing and maintaining standards templates and best practices for project execution;
You are a results-driven connecting leader with excellent program management skills strategic insight and a hands-on mindset. You know how to successfully deliver complex multidisciplinary organisation transformation projects while taking into account the systemic and behavioural aspects of change and are a natural coach for your colleagues.
You also bring:
At least 710 years of experience in program management and digital transformation preferably in professional services or within an international organization;
Proven experience in establishing and professionalizing project management standards and frameworks;
A strong track record of leading complex digital /system implementations (e.g. ERP or CRM);
Experience in stakeholder management change communication and driving adoption;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Leadership experience including coaching project managers and providing functional team direction;
Business accumen and technical affinity with areas such as IT systems automation or AI;
Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken) is a must French is a plus;
A completed higher professional (HBO) or academic (WO) degree;
Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2).
