Job Description

Health Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant

Classification: Full time Permanent

Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Location: Esdilagh BC

Deadline: Until filled

Summary

The Health Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant will be responsible for handling clerical tasks in the Esdilagh First Nation Health office. The Health Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant will be handling incoming phone calls and other communications greeting clients and visitors as well as managing files updating paperwork and other documents and performing other general office clerk duties and errands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving calls emails and messages routing communication and correspondence appropriately
  • Maintaining a substantial filing system (paper and digital)
  • Recording information as needed
  • Greeting clients and visitors as needed
  • Updating paperwork maintaining documents and word processing
  • Helping organize and maintain office common areas
  • Routine photocopying typing spreadsheets filing and other administrative duties
  • Provide support and communication on flights hotel rooms conference room(s) and/or on-site catering to ensure all is confirmed
  • Booking patient travel
  • Coordinating events as necessary
  • Maintaining supply inventory
  • Maintaining office equipment as needed
  • Aiding with client reception as needed
  • Maintaining a detailed list of updated contacts (paper and digital)
  • Creating maintaining and entering information into databases


Requirements

  • Post secondary education in a relevant field (Administration Communications Etc.) would be an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative role
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make a variety of guests in the office feel welcome
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • Valid class 5 drivers license


Working Conditions

  • Travel may be required
  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and additional hardware
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
