Overview
The Electrician is responsible for carrying out the direction of the department director to provide a safe atmosphere for all patients parents visitors and employees of the hospital. The Electrician is responsible for the condition of all electrical systems in the hospital and for insuring that all maintenance repairs and adjustments are performed in a manner which assures the safety of themselves patients parents visitors and other employees. The Electrician is responsible to insure that all work performed is at a minimum in compliance with all applicable electrical codes. The Electrician is responsible for carrying out continuous quality improvement efforts. The Electrician assists in developing new procedures work practices and data collection to comply with all City State Federal OSHA NFPA NEC and JCAHO codes/requirements.

If you are selected for this position you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.Responsibilities
- Performs all planned maintenance repair and project work orders to ensure all City State Federal NEC OSHA NFPA and JCAHO codes and requirements are met or exceeded.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent Complete and thorough understanding of the National Electric Code and 5-7 years experience
- Certified Journeyman license Preferred

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.96/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible to work remotely which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Childrens Mercy locations and may not work from home.
