Associate Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer on our small business engineering team you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our Business Credit Origination solution while building your technical skills under the guidance of experienced engineers. Youll write clean maintainable code participate in collaborative code reviews and work on progressively challenging development tasks that expand your capabilities.

Working closely with senior team members who will mentor your professional development youll learn our development standards participate in technical discussions and help deliver meaningful features for our BCO solution.

Essential Functions:

• Actively learn software development principles and collaborate effectively with the team.

• Adhere to code standards and our development process while actively improving both coding skill and domain knowledge.

• Perform careful code reviews seek help when needed provide transparent status updates and participate actively in team meetings.

• Gradually handle more complex tasks with input from experienced engineers and gaining independence.

• Demonstrate commitment to system hygiene by writing clean maintainable code automated testing and adherence to coding standards.

• Gain a clear understanding of the defined software retirement process and adhere to it when necessary.

• Demonstrate commitment to system hygiene by writing clean maintainable code and adhering to coding standards.

• Seek out mentorship to grow their own experience.

• Contribute to conversations based on organizational strategy and principles with their teammates when appropriate.

• Progressively handle more complex tickets

• Demonstrated passion in growing technical expertise and understanding within product domain.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or a combination of education and practical experience

• Demonstrated knowledge in at least one programming language

• General knowledge of software design principles and development tools

• Dedication to quality and continuous improvement

• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git

• Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative team environment

• Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Desired:

• Experience with full stack application development

• Familiarity with agile or scrum methodologies and DevOps tools

• Verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience with Salesforce and AWS

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge skills abilities proficiencies experience education licensures/certifications as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:

$73700.00 - $121600.00
