Job Description
Stream powers chat & video for many large apps like Strava Nextdoor Patreon IBM Adobe and Midjourney. For video weve built our own Go/Pion based SFU and a network of edge servers around the world.
We are looking for a WebRTC SFU Engineer to join our team and work on the SFU. The goal is to raise the bar on the developer experience and make it much easier to add real time audio/video to any application. We are also expanding into AI integrations for realtime audio & video. Remote (EU) or Amsterdam (relocation and Visa sponsorship available).
Stream has a 10 week internal Go onboarding program prior experience with Golang is not required.
Hybrid policy:applicants based in the Netherlands or relocating here are expected to work in the office in Amsterdam 3 times per week. Exemptions may apply to specific cases.
What you will do
Work on the core API of our video product include the SFU and our media pipeline used for WHIP/WHEP/RTMP and other protocols
Technologies you will work with: Golang WebRTC RTMP SRT HLS protobuf SVC codecs Opus bandwidth negotiation
Improve performance and build new features of our SFU server
Work on our edge infrastructure and improve its stability and feature-set
Build new features to support existing and upcoming audio/video technologies (eg. AI WHIP SRT WHEP )
