Background
At Axis New Business Audio Products we develop audio products for security such as horn- ceiling- and cabinet- speakers driven by Power over Ethernet (PoE). All our audio products have a built-in microphone that allows for remote health monitoring of the speaker driver. Today there is no solution to perform this health monitoring test without a built-in microphone.
Goal
The goal of the thesis is to investigate how a health monitoring test could be performed without the microphone. Is there a simpler and/or more effective way of doing this test Can more functions be added Are there advantages to using either the current or proposed method depending on speaker type (e.g. horn cabinet)
