Job Title: Construction Manager

Location: Yamagata Japan
Salary: 12 -20 million JPY (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the full life cycle of a pharmaceutical OSD facility build in Yamagata. This leadership position will act as a key interface between the client design teams contractors and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all construction activities on site ensuring schedule quality and safety objectives are achieved.
  • Manage Japanese contractors and suppliers; ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  • Report on progress risks and key metrics to senior management in English and Japanese.
  • Drive resolution of construction-related issues and support commissioning phases.
  • Ensure integration of GMP and pharma facility requirements during construction.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual fluency (Japanese & English) is essential.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale industrial or pharmaceutical construction projects.
  • Experience working with Japanese construction firms.
  • OSD or pharmaceutical facility experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive complex project delivery.
