Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
SUMMARY: Provides support in functional areas of human resources including recruitment employee relations job evaluation training payroll and special projects. Serves as a business partner to Plant leadership team. Answers questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Ensure the organizations current HR requirements are met and the HR strategy is implemented effectively.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Organizational Development Business Administration or other related concentration strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills
- 3 years of HR experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle adverse situations and/or tight time deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) is preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides proper guidance on coaching and counseling matters to plant leadership
- Administer various human resource plans policies and procedures for all company personnel
- Recruit and facilitate the hiring of all qualified candidates and onboard new hires
- Maintain employment files and ensures I9s are current as well as accurate
- Uphold compliance with federal and state regulations surrounding employment
- Provide guidance on performance management including but not limited to coaching counseling and disciplinary actions
- Assist in the counseling of employees and managers on confidential matters
- Aids in reporting on headcount
- Supports in the planning of employee events as well as employee rewards and recognition programs
- Investigates employee relations matters accurately and promptly
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions (e.g. safety harassment prevention).
