• High School GED or formal educational equivalent
• Graduate of accredited Scrub Technologist program surgical scrub tech training through the military or minimum of two years surgical/scrub experience at an acute care facility or ambulatory surgery center.
• Ability to Follow Oral Instruction Read and Write

Job Requirements:

• Ensures that the room has been prepared for the upcoming cases with appropriate equipment available and ready for use.
• Ensures availability of appropriate instrumentation supplies and equipment for assigned cases
• Assembles supplies for Interventional Radiology procedures maintains the sterile field passes surgical instruments and supplies and assists in room preparation
• Exhibits practical knowledge of IR equipment including maintenance and safety aspects.
• educates and prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history draping and positioning the patient and preparing procedural/testing sites
• Assists physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures
• Educates patient regarding procedures equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation
• Assists with monitoring patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
• Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary and keeps coworkers informed of status
• Responsible for daily work assignments.
• Serves in active role in maintaining ACR accreditation and various JCAHO FDA ODH inspections.
• Assists in interviewing selection and orientation/training of new staff members
• Ensures proper staff education requirements
• Actively involved in the discipline process when necessary particularly verbal and written counseling
• Perform other duties.
