Job Summary:The Engineering Researcher I contributes to the planning and design of engineering research and creative projects. Performs supporting research and creative activities such as data analysis monitoring outcomes performing lab maintenance and/or performing experiments and creating creative projects. May assist in short- and long-term planning and project goals. May assist with research and creative proposals and dissemination of project findings.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree and two (2) years of engineering or closely related research experience; OR masters degree or higher and some engineering or closely related research experience. Post-Baccalaureate degree is highly preferred (Masters degree or higher).
Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D. in electrical engineering computer engineering computer science aerospace engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the date of appointment. Record of publications in related top-tier journals or research conferences. Expertise in one or more of the above areas of interest. Experience with neuromorphic computing IC design embedded systems or AI. Experience with research on Neuromorphic Computing (e.g. memristor modeling/simulation/manufacturing) and Edge AI related areas (e.g. AI algorithms AI accelerator VLSI).
