Job Description
We have a position available for an automation engineer to join our CI this role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the CI infrastructure our software development teams use for validating our Linux-based cluster management product and making sure that our product meets the highest quality standards. Your goal is to make sure that the developers can focus on the product while relying on a robust usable and fully automated CI infrastructure.
There will be ample opportunity to develop your skills and to take initiative. The company is now considerably scaling up its efforts in the CI area. This opens up new scenarios and challenges that must be faced and everyones contribution is welcome.
Required and Desirable Skills
Coding
You have excellent analytical skills and you can code. You have a good understanding of how software works internally and have a talent for discovering ways to break it.
You have prior programming experience. Java and/or Groovy Python and Unix shell programming are a plus but not strictly required. Furthermore you possess excellent problem solving skills and you are eager to learn and use new technologies.
Background in Linux system administration would be an advantage. Experience with Docker and Jenkins would be much appreciated but is not strictly necessary. Experience with AWS and/or Azure is a plus.
Linux
Our cluster management software is based on Linux. You should be familiar with the Linux operating addition you are familiar with the most common software that is part of a typical Linux installation.
General Skill
