Job Summary

You will work with Java-based technologies (Spring and Hibernate) to further develop the backend of the application.
You write high quality code understand how different modules interact and contribute to maintaining an excellent user experience.
You have a passion for product development and the drive to play a defining role in the success of the product.
You are comfortable working for several years on a legacy product with proven though not cutting edge technologies in a complex domain.
You learn and understand logistics processes combined with customs and excise regulations.

You are part of the dynamic and multicultural Digital team within our Global Trade Advisory department. Together with roughly 30 colleagues you contribute to essential services for leading multinationals. You need the following qualifications for the position of Backend Software Engineer:

A completed bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
At least 5 years of work experience as a Java software engineer.
Experience with the following languages frameworks and techniques: Java Spring Hibernate MS SQL Server.
A positive attitude and a passion for your field.
Understanding of the Agile/Scrum methodology.
Excellent command of the English language; Dutch is a plus.
