Job Description

We are News Broadcasting:Driving digital innovation our people create award-winning audio TV and video content for millions of people across the UK Ireland and beyond. Life sounds good with Virgin Radio - home to The Chris Evans Breakfast Show. talkSPORT the worlds biggest sports radio station delivers the very best live sport and analysis and is an official broadcaster of the Premier League. Launched in June 2020 Times Radio brings together the peerless journalistic expertise of The Times and The Sunday Times with world-class broadcast talent including John Pienaar and Jane & Fi. Plus Talk The Home Of Common Sense hosting Mike Graham and Julia Hartley-Brewer.
The Team: Sitting as part of the wider News Broadcasting Commercial Team the Content Solutions team are responsible for all creative solutions proposals and proactive on air sponsorship properties across all of our brands including talkSPORT Virgin Radio Times Radio and Talk Radio.


Your Role: As a conduit between Sales and Programming you will have extensive access and a huge influence on all News Broadcasting S&P activity.

Reporting to the Head of Content Solutions you will help deliver revenue by identifying & creating market leading sponsorship properties and answering client briefs with award worthy responses.



Day to day you will:

  • Be responsible for generating Content Solutions revenue.


  • Lead brainstorms & meetings with programming teams to answer client briefs.


  • Work with the wider Content Solutions team and senior members of programming to create & market sponsorable properties.


  • Work with the Octave Branded Content Team to amplify properties across our digital and social platforms.


  • Build and develop relationships internally and also with relevant senior contacts across the agency and client customer base.


  • Work with Group Heads and individual account managers to identify target clients and categories.


  • Mentor and help develop the team assistant.

  • Youll have a good knowledge of media agency and client processes and business objectives.


  • Youll be familiar with our brands and that of our competition.


  • Youll have demonstrable experience of working on partnership deals.


  • You will have a consistent record of building and nurturing relationships across a wide spectrum of agency disciplines.
