Job Description

VP Analytical Instruments (Sales Focus)

Location: Remote Canada

The Opportunity

Picarro is seeking a seasoned high-energy Vice President of Analytical Instruments to lead global sales strategy and execution. This role focuses on driving revenue growth building strong customer relationships and continuing to position Picarros analytical instruments as market leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for Analytical Instruments to achieve revenue goals.
  • Manage key customer relationships and drive participation in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to build long-term relationships.
  • Define sales processes that deliver predictable results and implement improvements as needed.
  • Manage sales forecasting pipeline reporting and customer expectations.
  • Oversee sales compensation and incentive programs that drive high performance.
  • Lead coach and develop the sales team to ensure success at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management engineering and support to ensure customer needs are met and business objectives are achieved.
  • Implement infrastructure tools and systems to support sales success.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with 10 years sales experience in related industries (analytical instruments scientific equipment or environmental solutions).
  • Proven track record of success in strategic sales with experience selling into research institutions laboratories and industrial customers.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationships.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles and solution-based selling.
  • Excellent leadership team management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (>30%).
