Job Description

Our MXCF Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for a passionate people-focused individual to join our team as a Learning Area Manager at our Fulfillment Center. This critical role sits at the intersection of operations and talent development playing a pivotal part in shaping the skills and knowledge of our workforce.

As a Learning Area Manager you will be responsible for driving the learning and development strategy across the site ensuring our associates are equipped with the skills needed to perform at their best. Youll lead a team of Learning Trainers and work closely with Operations leadership to identify training needs develop curriculum and implement innovative learning solutions that support our operational goals.

Your role will be instrumental in on-boarding new hires upskilling current associates and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Youll leverage data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of training programs and continuously refine our learning approaches. Additionally youll play a key role in change management helping to introduce new processes and technologies through effective training strategies.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Learning Trainers while fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing associates
- Partner with Operations leaders to identify training needs and develop targeted solutions
- Drive training initiatives that support safety quality and productivity goals
- Manage and track learning metrics completion rates and training effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with training requirements and standardized learning processes
- Develop and maintain training materials aligned with Amazons standard operating procedures

A day in the life
- Start your day reviewing training metrics and completion rates
- Lead team huddles with Learning Trainers to align on daily priorities
- Coordinate new hire training sessions and monitor their progress
- Partner with Operations to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
- Coach and develop Learning Trainers through hands-on feedback
- Monitor training quality and effectiveness through floor observations
- Drive continuous improvement in training methodologies
- Analyze training data to identify trends and areas for improvement

About the team
Were launching an exciting new operation in Mexico - our first Storage and Distribution Center (SDC) and Inbound Cross Dock (IXD) in the country! This represents a significant milestone in Amazons growth in Latin America and youll be part of the founding team that will shape the future of our upstream operations in the region.

This team will play a crucial role in Amazons supply chain network managing the strategic storage and distribution of inventory to multiple Fulfillment Centers across Mexico. Were focused on operational excellence innovative solutions and continuous improvement as we establish this key node in our logistics network.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent or 2 years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3 years of employee and performance management experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- 2 years of Strong Operations Management Proficient in Data Analysis
- 5years Operations Management experience in manufacturing production distribution environment or related industry
- Supervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employees
- Excel skills required.
- English Proficient

- 3 years of performance metrics process improvement or lean techniques experience
- MBA
