Join us in driving impactful change by transforming the NSW electricity system!

Lead the implementation of the Network Infrastructure Strategy to providing 20 year blue print for the transformation of the NSW electricity system

  • Salary range from $129464 to $142665 plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
Our EnergyCo NSW Finance and Operations team is seeking to appoint a Senior Financial Analyst Funds Management and Regulatory to provide high-level modelling analytical and advisory support across funds management and regulatory functions. This role works closely with the Senior Manager TAF and Regulatory and the Chief Financial Officer to contribute to key regulatory submissions including the annual Contribution Determination and to ensure the accurate and timely provision of financial information and advice.

As a trusted advisor you will play a pivotal role in project funding and assurance by supporting the effective and compliant use of the Transmission Acceleration Facility (TAF) a financing mechanism that underpins EnergyCos major project development costs. You will also be responsible for other areas such as cashflow management external funding compliance reporting and regulatory return submission. This is a unique opportunity to apply your financial expertise to projects that are central to the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap helping to transform the states energy system into one that is affordable clean and reliable.

About You
Youre a sharp financial analyst who loves digging into complex data and turning it into clear insights that drive impactful decisions. An advanced excel user you thrive on streamlining processes automating reports and finding new ways of doing things. With experience across cashflow management forecasting compliance and performance reporting and an understanding of NSW Government finance frameworks you bring curiosity adaptability and problem-solving skills that make you a trusted partner in delivering outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Commerce or Business and membership of CPA Australia or the Institute of Charter Accountants Australia New Zealand (or studying towards).

Who we are
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Governments
Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap which aims to transform the states electricity system into one that is cheap clean and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the States first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs) which are located in the Central-West Orana New England South West Hunter-Central Coast and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities investors and industry to investigate plan recommend and coordinate generation storage and network infrastructure projects.
