Job Description
Position Summary
The Marketing Strategist will coordinate the execution of the annual marketing and communication plan as well as coordinate projects from other assigned FPU departments. The Marketing Strategist will assist with the development of marketing plans and shall coordinate the development of marketing and promotional materials writing and managing multi-tier digital communication sequences coordinating content development (including photo and video) managing content on the website and developing and executing social media plans.
Essential Functions
- In collaboration with the Director of Communications and Director of Enrollment Marketing and coordinate the development of new marketing materials and the creation of new graphics including project management writing copy collaborating on design and coordinating photo and video shoots.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of and/or write content for webpages direct mail email social media and event campaigns for all assigned clients.
- Track marketing and solicitation projects (including print social media and email) to avoid overlap in communications and to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Track and record marketing and solicitation expenses and report these to appropriate staff regularly.
- Track the response rates of various marketing and solicitation digital campaigns and report the data to campaign managers.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director of Development research constituent demographics best practices conduct focus groups and update annual marketing reports.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- Two years of experience working in a marketing-related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with social media management
- Experience and/or training in digital photography
- Experience and/or training in copywriting
- Experience in art directing photo shoots indoors and outdoors
- Experience in marketing Christian higher education
- Indoors in normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise dust fumes vibrations and temperature changes at least ninety percent (90 percent) of the time
- Frequent computer use at workstation up to eight hours per day
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
- Proficient at multitasking
- Public contact position requiring business-like apparel
- Indoor work environment.
- Perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation: stand sit kneel stoop reach lift grasp finger see (near and far) for reading and data analysis on a computer screen hear and talk for ordinary conversation and telephone calls.
- Perform analytical and cognitive thinking and decision making.
- Approximately 90% of this positions duties require use of a computer

- Attendance and punctuality.
- Travel alone between campuses.

University Information
$45780.00 to $53040 is the annual starting salary for this role and reflects what Fresno Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications experience and internal addition to compensation FPU offers a competitive benefits package.
