Job Description

SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Portfolio Manager and Collector to manage a growing portfolio of mobile home loans secured only by the home (chattel loans). This individual will be responsible for overseeing collections ensuring compliance with consumer laws and resolving servicing issues such as rent verification insurance escrow and title management. This is a key role in helping to develop and refine the loan servicing infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and service a portfolio of consumer chattel loans (mobile home only no real estate collateral).
  • Initiate and follow up on collection efforts for past-due accounts in compliance with applicable consumer collection laws (FDCPA TCPA UDAAP etc.).
  • Contact mobile home parks to verify rent payment status and coordinate on delinquency or abandonment cases.
  • Monitor and resolve insurance lapses escrow shortages and tax issues on behalf of borrowers.
  • Investigate and resolve title and lien issues including coordination with state title agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all borrower communications promises to pay repossession activity and servicing history.
  • Help develop implement and refine collections and servicing processes for improved efficiency and compliance.
  • Utilize Fiserv Premier system to track payments update loan records and generate servicing reports.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Compliance Legal and Loan Operations to align on servicing and risk strategies

  • Adheres to local state and federal laws
  • Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations
  • Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions as they apply to your position and job responsibilities with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP Consumer Privacy Regulation CC Information Security Bank Protection Act FACT-Identity Theft Information Technology and GLBA.
  • Additional duties as assigned as it relates to the position
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Direct experience with chattel/mobile home loans strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of consumer protection laws (FDCPA UCC TCPA etc.).
  • Familiarity with mobile home titling lien documentation and insurance practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally engage with borrowers and mobile home park representatives.
  • Ability to work independently and drive operational improvements.
  • Experience with Fiserv Premier is a strong plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

  • Standing walking and squatting less than fifty percent of the work shift
