Summary:
The IT Hardware Technician provides campus-wide IT support across the Zoos 76-acre campus with 300000 sq. ft. of building space. This position provides general IT trouble shooting installations and support of all Hardware/Software Network and Audio & Visual platforms. The IT Technician will support several systems and networks including: Desktop Audio & Visual Point of Sales Telephones and servers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time positions are defined as positions scheduled to work approximately up to 25-30 hours a week. Scheduling is at the discretion of the manager. This position regularly requires flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays to provide coverage during Zoo hours of operation and events.
This position is considered non-exempt under the federal and state wage and hour laws.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job the employee will alternate work between outdoor settings (Zoo grounds) and a typical office environment. When outdoors this position is required to work in various weather conditions including rain humidity and extreme heat or cold. Role will frequently require the need to travel across Zoo grounds with or without the use of an electric golf cart.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position requires frequent sitting/standing/walking/bending/kneeling and may occasionally move or lift objects up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of hand tools is required. Occasional climbing and balancing required.
