- Location: Orange NSW other locations considered.
- Salary from $pa superannuation (Professional Officer Grade 6)
- This opportunity is open to DPIRD/LLS staff only
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Leader Slopes and Rangelands Systems to drive research and development activities for temperate pastures across New South Wales. This is a key leadership role providing both strategic guidance and operational support to deliver world-class outcomes in pasture R&D.
What Youll be doing:
In this role you will:
- Lead supervise and inspire a high-performing team.
- Establish and deliver innovative research and development programs for temperate pastures.
- Build strong partnerships across NSW DPIRD other government agencies with key stakeholders research partners and RDCs
- Provide operational support including governance financial management and reporting on project outcomes.
- Offer expert advice to the Director Pastures on current and emerging issues in temperate pastures.
- Evaluate program and project effectiveness and showcase the impact of R&D activities.
What were looking for
Wed love to hear from you if you have:
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in agriculture or a science-based discipline (essential requirement).
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to guide and motivate diverse teams.
- Proven skills in building collaborations across government research and industry.
- A track record of successfully managing complex projects budgets and governance.
- A current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel (essential requirement).
