Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a Discrete Control System Engineer - Power Plant to join our team at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc. As the Discrete Control System Engineer - Power Plant you will be accountable for the Operation & Maintenance of the Power Plant and Downtime.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Accountable for the trouble-free operation of all Power Plant equipment by adopting the Preventive/predictive maintenance of the equipment in the power plant.
2. Maintaining & trouble-shooting of all types of equipment of the plant under his/her section and achieving the Power Generation as per the target by adopting and initiating necessary action and corrective measures.
3. Accountable for maintaining and monitoring the record of miscarriages and taking corrective actions. Maintains the history cards of the equipment in the sections entrusted and keeps track of maintenance activities attended.
4. Plans & executes the jobs informed by the operation team in the sections entrusted for the smooth operation of the plant.
5. Shall report to the Shift in charge any events of Operational of Equipment and its parameters complications.
6. Ensuring the standby equipment availability at all times and maintaining the critical spares for the equipment in the respective area.
7. Accountable for the adoption of SOP during operation & maintenance.
8. Synchronize with Sugar Mill & Process engineers for seamless operation.
9. Execute Servicing and maintenance of the Power plant equipment during off crop period.
10. Prepares the annual maintenance plan.
11. The training needs to be identified of his/her subordinates and draw necessary schedule to import the training at regular intervals.
12. Accountable for maintaining and ensure the safety in all activities of operation and Maintenance.
Requirements
- Shall hold the minimum of Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering/Diploma in turbine engineering.
- COREN NSE or Any related professional qualification.
- 5 to 7 year experience in operation of Power Plant. Bagasse Based Power plant experience will an added advantage.
- Hands on experience in Travelling Grate Boiler with Bagasse as Fuel. Pressure rating of the Boiler shall be Minimum 87 Bar
- Experience in Back Pressure & Condensing Turbines.
- Experience in Fuel / Ash Handling System.
- Must have well versed with Boiler / Turbine DCS Automation Operation
- Basic computer skill (MS word excel & power point)
