An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an accomplished professional to join MUFG Securities as Vice President/ Director Credit Sales based in Singapore. This role is designed for someone who thrives on building and nurturing relationships with institutional clients across the APAC region particularly Singapore and ASEAN markets. What youll do:
As Vice President/ Director Credit Sales you will be entrusted with managing an established portfolio of institutional clients while proactively seeking new business opportunities across APAC markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve originating innovative credit solutions tailored to client objectives executing transactions efficiently and maintaining open lines of communication regarding market movements. You will collaborate extensively with colleagues from trading desks syndicate teams DCM specialists and other departments to ensure each client receives holistic advice backed by deep market insight. Success in this role requires not only technical expertise but also a genuine commitment to supporting your peerssharing knowledge generously while contributing ideas that drive collective achievement. By staying attuned to both primary and secondary market dynamics you will help shape strategic growth initiatives that reinforce your teams reputation as trusted advisors within the industry.
Originate pitch and execute credit opportunities across both flow and structured products for a diverse portfolio of institutional clients throughout the APAC region.
Maintain and deepen existing relationships with key clients in Singapore and ASEAN by providing consistent coverage and attentive service tailored to their specific requirements.
Drive revenue generation through effective identification of market opportunities while ensuring all activities align with rigorous risk management and compliance standards set by the bank.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Trading Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Syndicate and other product teams to deliver integrated client solutions that address complex investment needs.
Act as a trusted advisor by keeping clients informed about relevant market developments new issuances secondary flow activities and emerging trends within global credit markets.
Contribute actively to the teams strategic growth initiatives by identifying product expansion possibilities and cross-selling opportunities that enhance overall business performance.
Support fellow team members by fostering a high-performance sales culture built on collaboration mutual respect and shared success.
Provide timely feedback on client preferences and market sentiment to inform product development strategies and ensure alignment with broader organisational goals.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay abreast of regulatory changes market innovations and best practices within credit sales.

A minimum of 10 years experience in credit sales roles within major financial institutions or investment banks ideally covering both flow and non-flow products across multiple jurisdictions.
Demonstrated history of generating significant revenue streams through effective client engagement strategies focused on long-term relationship building rather than transactional selling.
Comprehensive understanding of global credit marketsincluding primary issuance processes as well as secondary trading environmentsand ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights for clients.
Outstanding communication skills enabling you to present clear market views both verbally and in writing; adept at tailoring presentations for different levels of audiences.
Proven track record of working dependably both independently when required and collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams spanning trading floors syndicate groups DCM units and more.
Fluency in English is essential for this role; proficiency in an additional Asian language such as Mandarin or Bahasa would be highly advantageous given the regional client base.
Strong interpersonal skills marked by empathy sensitivity to client needs willingness to share information openly with colleagues and commitment to upholding ethical standards at all times.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory landscapes or shifting market conditions while maintaining composure under pressure during periods of heightened activity or volatility.
