The Vendor Relationship Analyst (Hybrid) will guide develop and implement vendor management strategies and policies. Articulate and negotiate contracts and ensure vendors are meeting contractual obligations. Drive the governance framework forward regarding vendor onboarding third party risk and contract management. Advise of vendor program enhancements while supporting internal teams with corporate priorities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive the framework for vendor management governance.
- Support and advise management on actions required for decision making and future enhancements of the Vendor Management program.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new and existing vendors and the associated risk-based monitoring reporting of vendor metrics and ensuring adherence to internal policy and external regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact for communication with third party vendors team members and internal divisions.
- Interpret and communicate contract requirements and contract change impacts in coordination with the contract managers.
- Drive risk remediation activities and document action plans.
- Provide oversight and final approval of all redlined contractual language in various vendor agreements.
- Participate in the development of risk frameworks accounting for sensitivity for risk tolerance by vendor and risk type e.g. financial operational regulatory reputational.
- Ensure that the Vendor Management maturity model is updated quarterly with clearly defined annual goals in which a strategy is to be developed to prioritize and plan for those goals until completion.
- Provides internal support when questions and issues arise associated with vendor products or services.
- Provides ongoing monitoring of our critical vendors.
- Assist division management with strategic planning and recommend internal and external programs around vendor managements needs.
- Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; analyze markets and competition; identify external threats and opportunities and adapts strategy to changing conditions.
- Strategically and objectively translate data into actionable insights and strategies to assist with KPIs and future development of the program.
- Coordinate the tracking and optimization of contract negotiations.
- May provide leadership coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures for Vendor Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Degree
- 4 years of vendor management or third-party risk management experience
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the vendor management process and third-party risk management concepts.
- Experience with researching and utilizing Cloud (SaaS) Software while having a strong understanding of the impact of Data Privacy on a financial services organization.
- Experience in third party risk management (TPRM) programs including working with and assisting business teams on onboarding risk identification risk assessments and ongoing monitoring of third parties while maintaining detailed procedural documents and updates to impacted policies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to effectively interact/collaborate with and influence stakeholders.
- Strong documentation attention to detail problem solving organizational project management & time management skills.
- Ability to establish and document processes guidelines and policies that includes the appropriate people in the decision-making process.
- Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with contract law including drafting contractual clauses including Limitation of Liability Indemnification Data Usage/Protection Representations & Warranties Intellectual Property Rights Termination and Confidentiality.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (e.g. NYSDFS Regulation 500 GDPR PCI DSS etc.)
- Good understanding of SOC2 reports cyber security assessments (NIST) and ISO (ISO 27001) Certification
Market Range: 10 / 40 hours per week / Hybrid - 2 Days in Office
Salary: $61900 - $103100
