The Assistant Director of Advancement Operations supports the Advancement Services
department by overseeing gift processing database management as it pertains to gift records and operational workflows within Raisers Edge. This role ensures accurate gift record adjustmentsmonthly reconciliations with the General Ledger and comprehensive documentation of gift processing procedures to enhance fundraising efficiency. The position plays a key role in training gift processors handling non-standard gift inquiries and providing proactive recommendations to align gift processing with University and departmental goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Research and process all adjustments to gift records in Raisers Edge perform analysis on reconciling items postings reclassifications etc. evaluate the impact on the General Ledger (current or prior fiscal year impact pledges etc.) and ensure accurate feeds to the General Ledger minimizing subsequent adjustments. 20% of time
2. Perform monthly reconciliation of gift clearing accounts and quarterly reconciliation of restricted funds in partnership with the Division of Finances Controllers office ensuring transactions in the constituent database are properly reflected in the General Ledger or bear comprehensive explanations. 25% of time
3. Maintain up-to-date documentation on gift processing procedures as various fundraising solutions are introduced by the division to diversify how constituents are solicited and gifts are made. 15% of time
4. Review and ensure relevant gifts are linked to major gift proposals and event registrations as necessary. 10% of time
5. Train and support gift processors on procedures for booking gifts record keeping of gift support and importing data from third-party platforms. 15% of time
6. Handle inquiries and non-standard requests related to gift processing or booked gifts provide recommendations based on historical treatment and system capabilities and offer proactive suggestions for handling the impact of policy changes or University events on Raisers Edge. 15% of time
Required Qualifications:
BA Preferred in business or other applicable degree.
3-5 years of relevant experience in gift processing or database management may substitute for a Bachelors degree.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills to ensure the integrity of gift data and financial reporting. Collaboration with the finance office and gift processors is essential during high-volume periods.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in higher education fundraising highly desired.

$46800 - $64350
