The Clinical Supervisor oversees and supervises Recovery Support Navigators (RSN) Recovery Coaches (RC) and Masters level students who are responsible for evaluating treating and providing substance use and behavioral health services for patients engaging in treatment in the Grayken Center for Addiction at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Responsibilities will include: referrals and billing workques Epic Pools overseeing daily onsite clinical and operational activities providing regular clinical and programmatic supervision to employees providing clinical back-up and support to the teams as needed; performance management of employees; payroll and timekeeping for program staff; and reviewing cases and documentation to ensure staff are compliant with approved protocols and procedures. The position consults with collaborates and communicates with a wide range of disciplines within BMC and the community in the overall care of the patient.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
CLINICAL SUPERVISION AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT:
Provides clinical supervision and personnel management to all staff members including managing clinical challenges training (including clinical workflows and Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) overseeing daily activities scheduling mentoring guiding through demonstration of best practices and offering opportunities for professional development.
Responsible for operational and clinical tasks.
Reviews routine BMC performance metrics for individual providers (e.g. panel size schedule utilization show rates TAPs screening productivity goals and other key indicators) and shares metrics with individual providers and provide feedback and mentorship as needed
Ensures appropriate clinical supervision for staff and interns and follows clinical guidelines for each role.
Ensures consistent support of clinical team including consultation on cases collaboration and implementation of clinical therapeutic guidelines (visit frequency length of treatment etc.) and use of patient outcome measures to inform ongoing clinical care
Ensures appropriate standards of care for patients in crisis and assists the team in response to crisis situations
Provides comprehensive psychiatric/substance use evaluations in coordination with staff patient family and interdisciplinary healthcare teams and develops treatment plans based on patient needs/goals.
Identify barriers to care and work with multidisciplinary teams to help patients achieve improved functioning and emotional state.
Maintains competency in areas of responsibility to ensure quality care
Maintains a complete understanding of emergency procedures
ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT:
Assists with performance management issues with the Grayken leadership as needed
Assists with quality improvement initiatives to improve the delivery of high quality patient-centered accessible clinical care as appropriate
Responsible for daily operations and special projects and events related to programs.
Collaborates with clinical and administrative leadership regarding standards for professional practice patient care and innovative programs designed to facilitate high quality patient care
Submits and presents program data and other records and reports within required time frames.
Attends scheduled staff meetings and in-service education program offerings with punctuality and consistency.
OTHER DUTIES:
Complies with departmental regulatory and professional requirements for documentation and data collection
Performs other duties as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Requires Masters Degree from an accredited school of Social Work
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Requires a current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years of full-time work experience as a licensed social worker. Previous supervisory experience required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Advanced interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and leadership; has demonstrated strength in personnel management
Proficiency with interpreting and leveraging data to guide management
Ability to work effectively comfortably and sensitively with ethnically culturally and racially diverse individuals and with people from historically underrepresented communities.
Highly organized
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Ability to multi-task while adhering to deadlines
Self-starter; ability to take ownership of driving personnel development and improvement initiatives
Knowledge of and competence in advocating with community resources and agencies that serve individuals children and families who are low-income or have psychiatric needs.
Bicultural/bilingual competency is a plus.
Experience with and comfort treating substance use disorders is preferred
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Computer literacy with ability to use standard word processing spreadsheet programs and e-mail (i.e. Microsoft Word Excel Outlook) and web browsers.
