Job Description

This position reports to the Manager in the Microbiology Laboratory of Biotechnology Facility.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine/non-routinequality monitoringsampling andtesting ofUtility systems inclusive of Purified water Water for Injection Pure steam. Compressed air and Nitrogen systems.
- Perform theroutine/non-routineenvironmental monitoring for allrequired plants facilities clean rooms hygienic areas and labs inclusive of particle monitoring test.
- Perform personnel qualification and re-qualificationand also to lead qualification and re-qualificationof the clean rooms when necessary.
- Providetestingsupporttoplantvalidationactivities
- Perform in-process andrelease samples testing ofexcipient/ packaging components forthedifferent drug products semi-finished drugproduct and drug substances. i.e. Sterility test Bacterial endotoxin test Bioburden test Microbial Limits Test etc. as appropriate.
- Performroutine andBatch related Environmental monitoring inclean rooms andother production areas and laboratory.
- PerformMediaReceivalSterilitycheckandGrowthPromotionTestsformediausedfor testing.
- Perform initial Quality Controlcheck and regular QCchecks on ready-to-use cultures andmaintenance of cell cultures.
- Perform microbial identification(Bacteriamoldandyeast)inwaterenvironmentandproductsamples.
- PerformperiodicreviewofclosedoutValidationDocumentpackagesandStandardOperating Procedures.
- Extend documentation support to the department by participating in writing/revising of SOPs protocols Testreports andany other work assigned bytheSenior Lead Microbiologist Sr/Manager Microbiology.
- Liaisewithexternalvendorsoninstrumentcalibrationandmaintenance.
- Solicitquotationsoflaboratoryconsumables.
- Maintaincontinuoussupplyoflaboratoryconsumables
- Participate inSHE Business Compliance cGMP and allother compliance-relatedmatters where applicable.
- SuperviseandoverseeThirdPartyContractorswhereapplicable
- Liaisewithotherdepartmentfortrainingneedsandtechnicalsupport
- Liaise with vendor and service engineers/ESPsfor equipment validation calibration andmaintenance work.
- Needtocoordinatewithsuppliersofmicrobiologicalmediaandotherequipment.
- Need to coordinate with Quality respective Plant operations Projects and Engineering & Maintenance
- Anyotherdutiesas assignedbytheSupervisor/Manager
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualifications:
Degree in Microbiology / Science (general) / related Engineering field
Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
Good understanding of Safety and cGMP practices
Computer Literacy
Good oral and written communication skills
