Our client is a Thai design fashion and lifestyle brand. They are now looking for a Purchasing and Sourcing Specialist/Supervisor to join their team.
Job Description
- Design and implement effective sourcing strategies to acquire high-quality materials tailored for fashion retail products.
- Identify assess and onboard potential suppliers while ensuring compliance with company standards for quality cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
- Lead contract negotiations including pricing terms and delivery schedules to secure optimal agreements with suppliers.
- Partner closely with design production and merchandising teams to align material sourcing with product requirements and timelines.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance fostering strong relationships to maintain consistent quality and reliability.
- Stay informed about market trends and pricing fluctuations identifying cost-saving opportunities to sustain a competitive advantage.
- Uphold compliance with company policies industry standards and ethical sourcing practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of purchasing and sourcing activities to support reporting and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and sourcing with a focus on the fashion retail industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fashion retail materials including textiles trims and accessories.
- Proven expertise in negotiation and analytical skills with a history of securing favorable supplier agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing software is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with a dedication to quality and sustainability in sourcing practices.
