Speech-Language Pathologist Assessor Preschool Only

Ascend is looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Assessor to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for professionals who love working with preschool-aged children and prefer a role focused exclusively on assessments (ages 35). You will play a critical role in supporting early identification and intervention without the demands of a therapy caseload.

Position Overview

As a Preschool-Only SLP Assessor you will:

  • Conduct standardized speech-language assessments for preschool-aged students (35 years)

  • Develop and deliver timely well-written evaluation reports

  • Participate in IEP meetings presenting results and providing professional recommendations

  • Work collaboratively with school teams families and other specialists to support student success

  • Maintain organized documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

This is an assessment-only role with no ongoing therapy caseloads which is ideal for clinicians who enjoy diagnostics flexibility and focused interactions.

Compensation & Perks:
$95000$125000/year (based on experience and schedule)

What Were Looking For

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active California SLP License (or eligible for licensure)

  • Experience with preschool assessments and IEPs preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organization time management and collaboration skills

  • A team-oriented mindset and a desire to grow professionally
