The Senior Manager will deliver fair and consistent underwriting decisions that are based on PHKLs Underwriting philosophy deliver strong mortality results that are consistent with expectations while maintaining a relentless Client Focus.Job Responsibilities:
- To perform timely accurate and comprehensive risk assessment on cases according to own underwriting authority.
- To lead the case management to ensure to smoothness of end-to-end underwriting process.
- To sustain a Culture of Compliance supporting a thorough and robust Client Due Diligence process including clear case documentation and record keeping.
- To manage build and nourishes a proactive positive and productive relationship with the sales channels to ensure all client relationships are fostered and the team meets our frontlines high expectations.
- To provide high quality underwriting service with effective communications for sales channels.
- To take on projects and liaise with different parties to streamline and enhance current underwriting processes and guidelines data analysis preparation of reports and other underwriting support functions.
- To monitor and control the operation performance to ensure the Companys rules and regulations are complied. Regular audit exercise is expected.
- To contribute to the team to become a Centre of Competence in all areas of risk selection providing training and guidance to new team members / team.
Job Requirements:
- Solid track record in the underwriting field with minimum 10 years relevant experience in life insurance underwriting of which 5 years in supervisory role.
- Professional qualification in Life Insurance including FLMI (Fellow Life Management Institute)
- Experience in operation management business administration and client relationship management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- University Degree in any disciplines
- Good command of English Cantonese and Putonghua
- PC literate in Word Excel PowerPoint and Chinese word processing.
