Underwriting Reviewer

Were looking for an Underwriting Reviewer to join our team in this role youll play a key part in helping us deliver high-quality underwriting reviews that support Portfolio performance and drive continuous improvement. Youll work closely with teams across the business produce clear and insightful reports and help shape best practice that add real value to our stakeholders. If you enjoy working collaboratively have a strong eye for detail and want to make a meaningful impact wed love to hear from you.

Your New Role:

  • Support the Underwriting Review Manager (URM) in delivering the annual review plan and ad hoc projects
  • Conduct underwriting reviews in line with established procedures and timelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams during pre-review stages to maximise review value and share best practice
  • Produce high-quality Reports with clear findings and remedial actions
  • Maintain accurate and auditable working papers for each review
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of assigned Management Actions with appropriate evidence
  • Escalate significant findings compliance breaches and control issues to the URM and EO Risk
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of review procedures and maintain stakeholder value through engagement
  • Use review outcomes to support Portfolio Management in completing their Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) helping evaluate the effectiveness of key controls that mitigate underwriting risk

About You:

  • Experience working in an underwriting background with the ability to apply that knowledge to review the efficacy of Underwriting processes and provide meaningful assurance
  • An understanding of underwriting principles and assurance practices with the ability to deliver high-quality review outcomes
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills tailoring your communication effectively to suit different audiences
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders across departments promoting collaboration and best practice sharing
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement contributing to the continuous enhancement of review processes and stakeholder value
  • Willingness to complete travel within the UK and overseas as required

*Whilst most of the team are based in London we can consider other UK locations for this role
