Your Role at Pura:
We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join our Systems Team to be a technical lead and engineer of Puras IoT system. As the primary engineer on this project you will collaborate with various teams to provide world class connectivity services to our millions of customers. Ensuring that the systems that power the connectivity to our devices are highly available highly efficient and low latency.
This role is ideal for a technically skilled engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and is eager to make a significant impact on our business operations.
You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company thats redefining the way people experience scent.
Qualifications:
- 10 years in backend engineering
- Strong proficiency in Golang
- Deep experience in high transaction rate systems
- Experience in IoT bonus with MQTT
- Deep experience in TCP
- Deep understanding of AWS Cloud
- Experience with container technologies (Docker Kubernetes etc.)
- Experience with distributed systems and various database technologies.
- Familiarity with both synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns using APIs message queues etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical details to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
- Ability to mentor other engineers and be a strong team player
- Ability to be part of an on-call rotation
