We are seeking a talented individual to join our Governance Risk & Compliance team here at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Stockholm. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three - four days per week in the office.

The GRC (Governance/Risk/Compliance) function at Marsh Management Services Sweden consists of a team of consultants who work together to help Swedish and English-speaking captive owners and insurance company clients manage GRC according to the Solvency 2 regulations. The member will work closely with the team and clients learning and taking on more responsibilities over time including participation in various projects.

The role: Junior Governance Risk & Compliance Analyst

To thrive in this role the ideal candidate should be humble willing to take on any task and be self-driven and proactive. The main responsibilities include assist in conducting and following up on regulatory compliance/risk reviews coordinating board meetings and supporting ongoing client projects and reporting.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist in the development of the annual reviews based on risk assessments.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits risk and compliance reviews in line with the plans.
  • Participate in identifying and evaluating risks associated with business processes and operations.
  • Assist in preparing clear and concise review reports detailing findings risks and recommendations for improvement.
  • Present review findings to internal management and assist in developing action plans to address identified issues.
  • Recommend enhancements to current review methodologies and tools to ensure continuous improvement in the way we work.
  • Work closely with other departments including operations finance and accounting to foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support company initiatives such as onboarding of new clients as well as corporate governance matters.
  • Keep updated with and document relevant regulatory and risk developments

What you need to have:

  • Recently graduated (within the last 1-2 years) with a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Economics Management Law or another relevant discipline.
  • Fluent in Swedish and a competent English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong business acumen problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in the insurance industry.
  • Ambitious proactive and eager to learn with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
  • Based in or near Stockholm with a flexible approach to work arrangements.
