ABOUT THE TEAM

As the Team Lead for Mechanical Design you will be a key member of the engineering leadership team on the Electron Program. Mechanical Design is one of fourcore engineering teams responsible for the design and development of Electron the Worlds No.1 small launch vehicle.

The team comprises of 10 Engineers with the following core competencies:

• Mechanical design
• Development & Test
• Analysis
• Configuration control
• Project engineering

KEY SKILLS

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following core competencies;Mechanical Design Development & Test Analysis Configuration control or Project Engineering
• Excellent grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals (g. stress strain heat transfer fluid mechanics mechanisms)
• Experience reviewing and approving technical content
• People management experience of teams of 5
• Strong organisational and project management skills

DESIRED SKILLS

• Hands on experience building machines (at work or at home)
• Rocket or aircraft design
• Siemens NX and Teamcentre
• Python LabView Matlab or equivalent
