Job Description

The Compliance Director is a top expert in global anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws leading efforts in Latin America.

Manage strategies for anti-corruption policies in Latam support regional counsel and collaborate with global functions.

This position is preferably based in So Paulo or Mexico City and reports directly to the Senior Director Corporate Compliance (Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Latin America Compliance team in their work as compliance business partners.

  • Support anti-bribery and anti-corruption tasks including risk assessment due diligence policy drafting training monitoring and investigations.

  • Collaborate closely with regional legal and commercial teams to ensure alignment with Corporate Compliance and business objectives.

  • Develop and implement the strategy and operational direction of the regional Compliance team in alignment with global priorities.

  • Coordinate regional Compliance budgets and forecasts managing actual costs to budget/forecast.

  • Conduct regional risk assessments communicate findings and support remediation plans.

  • Contribute to the Global Compliance Program.

  • Support effective third-party due diligence and onboarding processes.

  • Provide targeted Compliance training to key colleagues and regional leadership.

  • Assist with investigations and remediation of bribery/corruption concerns working closely with Internal Audit and outside counsel.

Skills

  • Is it important for the role that the candidate is trilingual and has focused significant professional experience on anti-corruption compliance particularly in risk assessment third-party due diligence training and communication

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in risk management or Law required; advanced relevant graduate degree preferred.

  • Deep and demonstrable Compliance experience (at least 8 years) ideally in a life sciences manufacturing or pharma multinational company;

  • Practical experience in implementing ethics and compliance projects internationally.

  • Proficiency in Spanish Portuguese and English.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Effective collaborator and interpersonal skills.

  • Position is located in Latin America (So Paulo preferred).

  • Approximately 10% travel is possible.
