POSITION OVERVIEW T3 Partnership is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Managing Director of Development (MDD) to lead and expand our comprehensive fundraising donor relations grant development and brand marketing strategy. As a key member of the senior leadership team the MDD will drive revenue generation elevate T3s visibility and inspire stakeholder engagement in support of our ambitious mission to advance education-to-career pathways for students across Tarrant County. T3 is in a dynamic stage of growth. This position requires a strategic adaptable and hands-on leader with demonstrated success building high-performing teams executing complex fundraising initiatives including endowment and major donor campaignsand aligning communications to advance organizational goals. This individual will set a compelling vision for the department oversee cross- functional teams and ensure alignment with organizational goals to support T3s mission and long-term sustainability. Days/Hours: Monday to Friday8:30AM 5:00PM (Min. 3 Days a week onsite; occasional evenings and weekends as needed.) SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This role will directly supervise 35 team members and/or vendors and consultants including Development Manager Communications staff and Grant Writer(s). This includes setting clear roles and responsibilities providing performance feedback and conducting evaluations. The MD is expected to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership - Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and VP of Program Operations aligning fundraising communications and development priorities to the organizations strategic goals.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Board Development Committee and work collaboratively with board members to expand fundraising and brand awareness efforts.
- Coordinate with the CEO regarding priorities opportunities key concepts and implementation.
- Align development and marketing plans to support programmatic operational and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present development reports for the CEO and Board
- Lead mentor and manage a high-performing team of 35 direct reports including Development Manager Corporate and Community Impact Manager Grant Writer(s) Development Associate and Communications personnel while fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.
- Represent T3 externally with funders corporate partners and media serving as a visible ambassador of our mission.
Fundraising and Development- Design and lead an integrated multi-channel fundraising strategy encompassing individual giving institutional partnerships major donor cultivation annual campaigns and signature fundraising events.
- Launch and manage endowment and/or capital campaigns in alignment with T3s long-term sustainability strategy.
- Oversee the full grants lifecycle: prospecting proposal development submission reporting and compliance in close coordination with program leads.
- Build and maintain a robust portfolio of corporate philanthropic and government funders; personally steward key funders and prospective major donors.
- Establish and manage departmental KPIs revenue forecasts and budget performance in collaboration with the finance team.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and vendors supporting development events and fundraising operations.
Marketing and Communications- Drive strategic storytelling across platforms to highlight T3s mission milestones and community impact.
- Manage public relations and crisis communications in coordination with the CEO and PR consultants.
- Lead development and implementation of a unified marketing and communications strategy that amplifies T3s mission impact and thought leadership across all platforms.
- Oversee content development and storytelling across print digital social and media channels ensuring consistency in brand voice and message.
- Manage agency-wide public relations strategy including media relations and crisis communications in collaboration with the CEO and external consultants.
- Partner with program teams to integrate storytelling and messaging into events reports campaigns and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency across all departments and materials.
Donor & Stakeholder Engagement- Develop personalized cultivation solicitation and stewardship strategies for high-potential donors in partnership with the CEO and Board.
- Lead the design of donor engagement experiences recognition strategies and impact reporting to deepen relationships and increase retention.
- Maintain an effective CRM system (in coordination with the Operations team) to support donor segmentation pipeline development and data-driven decision making.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy reporting and donor acknowledgment best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS Education - Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in nonprofit management business communications marketing or related field preferred.
Experience - Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development or institutional advancement with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success managing complex development operations in major gifts endowment or capital campaigns grant strategy and team leadership.
- Experience working within or in partnership with education workforce or youth-serving organizations strongly preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Deep knowledge of fundraising strategies marketing best practices and donor stewardship models.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with a track record of translating strategy into execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced mission-driven environment.
- Proficient in development software (e.g. Salesforce Donor Perfect CharityEngine Granthub etc.) digital tools and social media platforms.

- Ability to lead from the front set a compelling vision and motivate cross-functional teams.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position will require travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to attend meetings and represent T3 at external events..
