As a Software Architect you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of developers designers and data scientists. You will work on major projects at Varicent ranging from re-platforming our calculation engine to migration to a new cloud architecture. You will use a range of technology including Typescript Graphql PostgreSQL and AWS.
What Youll Do:
Working on new architecture projects designed to optimize cost and performance
Collaborating with talented knowledge-driven individuals. We are a close-knit team that is eager for new ideas. We embrace sharing our own knowledge and enriching each others experiences.
Focusing on client success through creative problem-solving.
Using and adopting open source technologies or cloud services where appropriate
What Youll Bring:
Ability to deliver large projects successfully
Experience working with QA resources to help set direction and priorities
Strong Software Development skills using Typescript or JavaScript
Solid understanding of software and cloud architecture
Strong communication skills with a willingness to convey ideas and ability to work in a collaborative environment Proven experience with REST APIs and single-page web application development
Experience with SQL and distributed databases
Experience with AWS cloud platform or other cloud platforms
Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience
Familiarity with continuous delivery and continuous integration
