Sterile Processing Tech Permanent Role Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
Shift: 8-hr Night 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Responsibilities: - Prepare and arrange instruments treatment trays and supplies according to department needs
- Clean and disinfect medical instruments and equipment using approved methods and detergents
- Operate sterilization equipment per manufacturer and facility guidelines
- Manage inventory: order replenish and distribute instruments and reusable equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control safety protocols and environmental standards
- Assist with training and mentoring of entry-level and Sterile Processing staff
- Participate in and conduct in-service training for ongoing staff development
Key Success Factors: - Solid knowledge of instrument and equipment sterilization techniques
- Understanding of basic medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with precision and maintain safety and infection control standards
- Team-oriented with a willingness to share expertise and support colleagues
Qualifications: - Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
- Certification (one of the following required):
- Certified Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD)
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
