Job Description

Title: Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Lead Developer
Location: Richmond VA (Onsite 3 days/week required)
Interview Mode: In-Person Only (No Virtual Options)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Lead Developer to support the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Power Platform solutions and enterprise-level implementations. This role requires onsite presence (3 days/week) and in-person interviews only.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all D365 development efforts.

  • Lead the design configuration implementation testing and support of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.

  • Develop model-driven apps canvas apps Power Automate flows and Dataverse solutions.

  • Configure role-based security within Power Platform and D365.

  • Customize and implement Forms Views Plug-ins and Workflows.

  • Work with solution management (managed/unmanaged) environment variables reusable components.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for requirements gathering fit-gap analysis and solution design.

  • Provide expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Service Field Service or Sales modules.

  • Integrate solutions using custom connectors Azure Functions and APIs.

  • Support data migration and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps GitHub Actions).

  • Ensure compliance with VITA governance and Virginia IT policies/standards.

  • Prepare documentation mockups prototypes and solution recommendations.

  • Function as a liaison between VITA and customer agencies providing issue resolution and technical guidance.

Required Experience
  • 5 years as a Power Platform/D365 Lead Developer.

  • 8 years with Dynamics 365 CRM Customer Service solution creation and management.

  • 8 years customizing and implementing Forms Views Plug-ins Workflows.

  • 5 years using PowerApps (model-driven & canvas apps) Power Automate Dataverse.

  • 5 years working with standard & premium connectors in Power Platform.

  • 3 years experience in Microsoft GCC tenant environments.

  • 3 years working with SharePoint Online & Microsoft 365 services.

  • 2 years with DevOps in Power Platform/D365 environments.

Highly Desired
  • 3 years prior experience with Virginia state agencies.

  • 2 years knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia IT policies governance and enterprise architecture standards.

Additional Notes
  • In-Person Interviews are mandatory no exceptions. Candidates unwilling to attend in person will not be considered.

  • Manager will coordinate schedules to accommodate in-person availability.
