Senior Cybersecurity Analyst
As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst youll be a key player in strengthening NextEras security. Youll assess our security controls analyze risks and develop security standards and blueprints that align with corporate policies. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can evaluate the effectiveness of our security measures and provide insights that support our architectural teams strategic initiatives.
What Youll Do
Youll spend your time assessing and evaluating our security posture across a wide range of technologies. Your work will include:
- Evaluating Network Security: Assess firewalls intrusion detection systems and other network security infrastructure.
- Analyzing Cloud Environments: Evaluate our security implementations within AWS and Azure to ensure best practices are followed.
- Assessing Endpoint Security: Analyze our endpoint detection and response (EDR) anti-malware antivirus and encryption solutions.
- Conducting Security Assessments: Perform threat modeling and assessments to evaluate our application security measures.
- Reviewing Data and Identity Protection: Assess the effectiveness of data encryption data loss prevention (DLP) and identity and access management (IAM) systems like Active Directory SSO and MFA.
- Securing Mobile Devices: Evaluate mobile security settings and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Ensuring Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure our security aligns with frameworks like NIST CIS CIP ISO and SOX. Youll also assess operational technology (OT) security controls.
Responsibilities
- Security Control Assessment: Conduct comprehensive reviews audits and assessments of security controls across the enterprise.
- Risk Analysis: Perform risk assessments on current and future technologies documenting findings and outlining required improvements.
- Blueprint Development: Create and maintain security standards and blueprints that ensure consistent application across the company.
- Methodology & Documentation: Refine our assessment procedures and create detailed security documentation including risk matrices and compliance reports.
- Collaboration: Partner with senior architects and technical experts to apply security standards consistently and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Technology Research: Stay current on industry trends and evaluate new security technologies to inform strategic decisions.
