Randstad is seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop & Windows Systems Technician to join a dynamic team in Washington D.C. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to end-users focusing on the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows-based hardware and software. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with strong communication and project management skills capable of managing hardware inventory and improving IT service delivery through a familiarity with ITIL principles. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prominent Randstad client and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations.
ResponsibilitiesProvide expert-level support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
Perform hardware and software troubleshooting to resolve end-user issues promptly and effectively.
Image and deploy new Windows hardware to end-users.
Manage and maintain the inventory of IT hardware ensuring accurate records and availability.
Utilize Service-Now for ticketing tracking and resolving technical support requests.
Contribute to project management initiatives related to IT infrastructure and systems.
Apply ITIL principles to improve IT service delivery and efficiency.
Communicate clearly and professionally with end-users and team members both orally and in writing.
Demonstrated technical experience in a desktop or IT support role.
Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
Familiarity with hardware imaging processes.
Experience with hardware inventory management.
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Familiarity with ITIL principles and their application in an IT environment.
Experience using Service-Now or a similar IT service management platform.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
