Job Description

Hiring HR Head
Location: Jammu (Kathua)
Experience: 3-8

Experience Requirement: Prior experience in jute mills tea gardens or similar labour-intensive industries

Location: Kathua Jammu

  1. Labour Management and Industrial Relations
    Oversee end-to-end management of factory labour including recruitment deployment grievance handling and discipline. Maintain a harmonious industrial environment and proactively address disputes or unrest.
  2. Workforce Planning and Deployment
    Ensure adequate and efficient workforce deployment across shifts. Monitor attendance overtime and productivity. Coordinate with production for manpower planning based on operational needs.
  3. Time Office and Attendance Coordination
    Supervise time office operations including biometric records shift rosters leave management and wage calculations. Ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs.
  4. Statutory Compliance and Record Keeping
    Ensure compliance with labour laws including ESI PF Factories Act Minimum Wages Act and other applicable statutes. Maintain all required registers and records for audit and inspections.
  5. Contractor Labour Oversight
    Monitor and control contract labour deployment verify attendance and validate contractor bills. Ensure compliance with statutory norms by contractors.
  6. Employee Welfare and Engagement
    Implement welfare schemes ensure hygiene and safety standards in labour colonies or hostels and promote engagement initiatives for better retention and morale.
  7. Disciplinary and Legal Matters
    Handle disciplinary issues conduct domestic enquiries where needed and maintain proper documentation. Liaise with legal counsel and authorities in case of labour-related cases or inspections.
  8. HR Administration and Documentation
    Manage documentation for new joinees exits transfers and employee records. Ensure timely issuance of appointment letters ID cards and statutory documentation.
  9. Coordination with Local Colleges and Institutes
    Establish and maintain relationships with nearby technical institutes ITIs and colleges for sourcing apprentices trainees and entry-level workers. Organize campus hiring skill-building sessions and onboarding programs.
  10. Coordination with HO and Audits
    Prepare and share regular HR MIS with Head Office. Coordinate for HR audits compliance reviews and policy implementation as directed by central HR.
  11. Local Liaison and Stakeholder Management
    Maintain positive relations with local administration labour office and community representatives. Represent the company in statutory and public forums when required.
