The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Associate Software Engineer with a keen interest in data engineering to join our high-performing development team. You will work alongside experienced software engineers data scientists and quants to build high-throughput systems and data-driven applications that power our pricing models trading systems and analytics tools. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your software engineering skills in a fast-paced technical environmentwhile also gaining hands-on experience with modern data technologies real-time systems and cloud infrastructure.
What Youll Be Doing:
Assist in the development of high-performance backend applications using C# Core
Contribute to the design and implementation of data pipelines and services
Learn and apply best practices in multi-threaded concurrent and event-driven programming
Support the delivery of data-driven applications including APIs streaming platforms and ETL processes
Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions
Write clean testable code and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Help monitor and troubleshoot production systems as part of a collaborative team
What Youll Bring:
Software Development Foundations:
Some experience writing software in C# or another modern programming language
Academic background in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or related field
Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
A keen interest in learning about performance optimisation and concurrent programming
Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools is a plus
Interest in Data Engineering:
Solid SQL fundamentals and curiosity about how data is modelled and transformed
Exposure to Python (or willingness to learn it) for scripting analytics or data processing
Interest in building data pipelines or APIs that deliver real-time insights
Eagerness to learn about streaming platforms like Kafka and cloud platforms like AWS
Team & Growth Mindset:
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to take ownership of your learning
Effective communicator who works well in a team environment
Interest in working in Agile teams and contributing to real-world software delivery
Nice to Have:
Internship or project experience involving backend development data engineering or cloud technologies
Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Experience with version control (e.g. Git)
Knowledge of the online gaming or sports industry
Youll be supported by a team of experienced engineers and given real responsibility from the start along with opportunities to grow into more advanced technical roles.
