SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS

OFFICE OF THE DEAN OF CREATIVE ARTS

The School of Creative Arts (SCA) is comprised of three well-established academic units: the Academy of Film the Academy of Music and the Academy of Visual Arts. Established on July 1 2022 SCA is dedicated to nurturing future-ready talents for Hong Kong and beyond while making a significant impact on society through innovative research and transdisciplinary studies.

Head of School Administration ()

As a senior member of the School the appointee will work with Associate Deans and Academy Directors to assist the Dean. The appointee has to demonstrate the overall leadership to oversee the administrative functions and services within the School in areas such as programme management research administration budgeting and finance human resources promotion and branding strategies outreach and engagement donations new projects and initiatives IT services and facilities managementin alignment with the strategic directions of the School and the University.

Applicants should have a masters degree with at least 10 years of working experience at the managerial or supervisory level in the tertiary education sector or a related field.

Applicants will demonstrate exceptional leadership and conflict resolution skills with an inspiring and forward-looking aspiration. They should be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) with excellent communication skills. They should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as outstanding interpersonal skills to connect with people and motivate colleagues. They should cultivate strong partnerships with academic and administrative professionals to advance institutional goals.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
