About the Role
Community Solutions are proud to be a Skilling Queenslanders for Work provider (SQW) offering projects that improve the skills and employment opportunities for people seeking employment within our local communities.
Joining our Nambour based youth services team as a Coordinator you will take the lead on all operational aspects of delivering our Level Up project. Working with our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partner this project will deliver accredited training along with personalised support for young people. You will oversee the recruitment of participants non-accredited work readiness training and project reporting. The core focus of this project is to support our amazing participants on their journey to sustainable employment by helping them gain nationally recognised skills and vocational qualifications a potentially life changing step! Other responsibilities:
- Supporting participants with a diverse range of personal and social issues and direct barriers to employment
- Working within a team and developing a culture aligned with Community Solutions mission and values
- Creating individual training and personal development support plans for participants to enhance their opportunities to complete training and access employment
- Facilitate the provision of personal development activities as determined by individual plans to develop vocational and employability skills and to empower participants
- Liaising with partner RTOs and local employers to maximise employment and training outcomes
- Undertaking and maintaining accurate documentation including case notes report writing and program data collection as required by Community Solutions and the funding body.
What you will bring to the role:
- Certificate IV or equivalent experience within Community Services Employment Services Youth Work Training or a similar sector.
- An understanding of the labour market and the issues faced by young people when planning to enter or return to the workforce including barriers to education training and employment
- A sense of resilience and empathy to work with participants experiencing complex barriers
- Experience facilitating work skills sessions and small group activities and workshops
- You are a confident communicator and a true people person; you can easily connect with others including RTOs local employers and community groups
- Strong IT and administration skills you have experience recording case notes and using MS Office Outlook ExcelWord and TEAMS
- Excellent time management attention to detail and prioritisation skills
