1Manages the tax liability of the company including the planning accounting filing and reporting process; gathers information for purposes of satisfying income tax requirements at all levels of jurisdiction.Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns
Tax determination on customers billing
Main Activities:
Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams. Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L B/S payments).
Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
Review Chevron customers taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance
Leads coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in accounting business finance or tax
Combination of 4 years of tax accounting finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skills
Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP)
Preferred qualifications:
US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience
Soft skills: coordination/Leadership skills
Analytical skills and critical thinking
Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
