Human Resources Assistant
Schedule: Monday Friday 1st Shift (7:30 AM 4:00 PM)
The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and provide services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resources department.
Description of Essential Duties
Assist with recruitment efforts including posting job openings screening resumes scheduling interviews and onboarding new hires.
Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies procedures and programs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in both digital and paper formats.
Assist with benefits administration including enrollments changes and employee inquiries.
Create maintain and conduct employee surveys and exit interviews; analyze data to gauge employee satisfaction as well as trends or patterns; notify appropriate individuals and/or departments of applicable information.
Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and company policies.
Coordinate employee engagement activities including planning and organizing company events celebrations and recognition programs.
Coordinate training sessions safety orientations and compliance programs.
Comply with all quality safety and work rules and regulations.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
Education level preferred: Bachelors degree in human resources.
Experience level preferred: 12 years of HR experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of HR principles practices and employment laws.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP).
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting balancing ongoing duties and employee support tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk or hear stand and/or walk use hands to finger handle or touch objects or controls and move from place to place. The employee is regularly required to sit balance stoop and occasionally reach above shoulders. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
The employee will spend most of his/her time in an office environment. The employee may occasionally be required to go to the workstations of other employees including the production plant in which personal protection equipment may be required.
